Ok I am getting aggrivated. At work I am unable to view MANY videos becuase I dont have the codecs. I am unable to install ANYTHING locally, all C: access is denied, its nuts. I am looking for a media player that has all the codecs in it and does not include an install. (just an exe) Does such a thing exist?

Generally, no.

The codecs and player are 2 separate things. There are several good EXE-only media players, but you're not going to find one that includes the codecs. The codecs have to be installed.

Ok well can ya list a media player exe only that can get a codec from the same folder it resides in?

I don't think it works that way. The Codes will have to be installed -- I don't know of a media player that can utilize the codec files if they are placed in the directory.

I think VLC media player does the job, but you have to install it. for me it's the best : all codecs are included on it.

which formats are you not able to play?
Media Player Classic is a standalone .exe and can play most of the "popular" formats natively.
