I need some input folks. In the next couple of weeks, I'm going to try my hand at building my own machine. I've been looking at components for awhile now and came up with 2 basic builds. In trying to narrow my choices through research I think I've ended up clouding my decions. I'm going with a P4 solution and mating it with RDRAM. I'd really rather stay out of the AMD v. Intel debate because honestly, I'm not going to change your mind and vice versa.

Build 1
Case
Cooler Master ATC-200 Mid
Power Supply
Antec Power Supply TRUE430
Motherboard
Asus P4T533-C i850E
CPU
Pentium 4 2.4GHz 533 FSB
Cooling
Cooler Master DI4-73H53D
RAM
1066MHz RIMM (2)
HDD
WD 80GB 7200RPM "SE"
CD Burner
Lite On 48x24x48
Video Card
Asus GeForce 4 Ti 4600
Sound Card
SB Audigy w/ 1394
Speakers
Logitech Z560 4.1

Build 2
Mobo
Gigabyte GA-8IHXP2
Video Card
Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 Pro
Everything else was the same

Any and all suggestions/tips/etc... will be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, I s'pose I should mention that the machine will be used primarily for gaming and school(MIS major).

Does ATi still have driver "issues"?
