I'm looking into getting a gaming system at some point this year and need a little help. Are there any repudable places online that I can configure a system and have it built for me? I would like to buy a gaming system online and I'm looking for a repudable site with good warranty. My concern in building my own system is that I've never put a system together from scratch. I've had friends that have wasted money on parts from newegg because they were either bad or damaged during install and they have spent hours of time trouble shooting parts and sending them back trying to get there system set up right. Most of them were very happy after finally getting everything working but I just don't have the time this year. I have seen some sites that look ok like cyberpowerpc but after reading some reviews it seems like a nightmare I don't want to get in to. Even though cyberpowerpc seemed kinda bogus I really liked the way I could configure the system with different brand boards and memory. Is it possible for me to find a good site with good warranty to buy gaming system? I don't plan on overclocking but would still like to have the option. If anyone has advice or suggestions on where to buy a prebuilt gaming rig I would really appreciate it.

If you live in an area with good components vendors, you're better off buying them locally, just so you don't have to deal with shipping if there's any problem, and if you're old enough to know which end of a philips screwdriver is which, it's really easy to put your own machine together.

Cruise this site and others for info, and of course, if you run into a problem, you can always come back to post your particular questions. It's easy, and it's fun, and when you've got it running, you'll know a lot more about keeping it that way. :)

There are no local venders anywhere near me and I really have other things to do. I edited my original message so maybe it's more clear. Did I say something wrong or use bad Etiquette for posting here at anandtech?

No. What Harvey is saying is that you can save a lot of money and have more control by building it yourself. It's not nearly as hard as you think it is, the industry just keeps up that pretense in order to keep people from doing it :p.

Have a read around the forums, keep an eye on the 3489759387 threads in General Hardware every day about "rate my build" and "suggestions on new build" and get an idea for what you should be looking at. Do a little bit of research then post back with your thoughts and you'll get some feedback, we're not going to do it all for you!
