Can you guys help? The more cheaper/best quality the better ;)

Looking for it to have these attributes/stats:
HD if possible
To be a reputable/reliable manufacturer that won't fail in a year or less!
Have a 30"+ screen
Most important!!! To be able to return it locally if I HATE the set. So, Circuit City or Best Buy would be great if possible.
The tv will be hooked to one of the Dish Networks.

I was looking at this mdl. from Best Buy so far.....
Samsung 30" SlimFit Flat-Tube HDTV/Model: TX-S3080WHX
Here

Any help would be appreciated :)

I like best Buy. Good prices, etc.

IMHO, with current tech, your getting similar image quality.
My biggest advice, turn up the volume on TVs in the store. Some simply have horrible sound quality or are alot quieter than they should be. That's really my best advice.

I like Panasonic myself.

I've read about the Olevia HDTV. Is it that good?

Well personally I have a 50" Panasonic 50px50u in the living room. This is for the spare bedroom. As for sound....... I don't use the crappy speakers. I have a reciever and a set of Polk rti8 speakers for sound :)

The lowest I see a 37" Olevia listed anywhere from CC or BB (even NewEgg) is $800.00
I see 32" for around $600.00 but no 37"

If you are getting an Olevia 32" LCD, make sure it uses an MKT scaling chip and not the ATI one.

The ATI scaling chip takes some shortcuts if you ware feeding it something other than native resolution and ghosts/blurs the heck out of things.

Other than that, I have never really heard any major complaints with any Olevia 32" sets.

I haven't seen it that cheap, but both Olevia or Vizio make good 32" and 37" LCDs in that price range. :)
Every other week at Fry's, in stores and online.

Definitely worth the money.

Sceptre 32" from Costco for $499 + shipping is also another alternative.

Not sure if you have a Costco around you though or their policy with returns through their online store.

We bought that as our bedroom TV a few months ago but we paid $599 when it was "on sale" :(

Other than the SUCK ASS SPEAKERS it's a good mediocre LCD HDTV. What sold me was the QAM tuner which rocks :)

Yes. 1080p at that price range is still a ways out. A man can hope for fall though ;)

QAM tuner? What makes that such a powerful selling point?

OTA HD signals can be decoded through the TV(?) without a reciever or decoder or something that makes it watchable.

Ah, I thought that was standard on most televisions with HD-tuners built in. HD ready is far less common now than it was 2 or 3 years ago.

Unless you plan on using the TV as a monitor (that is sitting right in front of it), 1080p makes no difference on this size monitor. At normal TV watching distances, 1080p matters for TVs about 47" and up.

The LCD isn't in a good position to pickup OTA signals. I like being able to pickup HD signals through analog cable without having to rental an HD tuner box.
