Definitely 1x 5850, you have the option of adding another 5850 later on, or easily move this card to your future build.

As for PSU, they're all good PSUs, I would pick the Antec TP-750 myself for a single 5850, but any of those choices are fantastic choice. If you plan on adding another 5850 later on, maybe go for the 850TX, 850HX, or the 950TX to give you enough headroom.

i do plan on adding a second 5850. so a 850 watt corsair will def be enough power for both? or should i just grab the 950

850W is actually quite an overkill even for 5850 crossfire (this article tested the system load with two 5850 and i7 975 to be 500W), but since the Corsair 850TX is only $110 after rebate at Newegg, why not. So say later on you decide to dump the 5850 for faster and newer and more power hungry cards, your 850W will still be rock solid to handle any load. It's one less thing to worry about in the future.

thanks for the help. i might be putting the rest of this build off alittle bit just because i cannot spend 620 bucks on x2 5850's. i wish they would go back down in price but idont see that happening anytime soon.
