I'm thinking about getting a VideoExcel A501T NVidia GeForce2 MX200 32MB AGP for 56$ at http://www.directron.com/a501t32tv.html

Is this a good deal or can you suggest something better?

My system is a moderate gaming system. I don't need TV out but would eventually like to get a DVD drive.

Sounds good, but if you get the Radeon LE ($68 according to Anand's Price Guide) you can make it perform by doing a few things, like the Radeon 64, just with 32MB DDR.

Don't get the 200MX, just get the regular old GeForce2-MX, it's faster and cheaper.

You couldn't find a better place than Directron to buy a videocard, could you? ;)

Did you read their returns policy?
Just buy from mWave.com or NewEgg.com

I'd have to recommend the Radeon LE, even though I'm not a huge Radeon fan. I think whilst a MX may outrun it in certain areas, the Radeon LE is a better choice. I suppose it all depends on what you'll be doing, and what operating system. Radeon's 2K drivers are still subpar, and if you're a big gamer the MX might be a better (and slightly cheaper) choice. You really can't go wrong with either.

I second the Radeon LE, not sure how their drivers are though, I'm still using a regular vanilla TNT

if you're on Windows 2000, get the Geforce. If you're on windows 98/ME get the Radeon.
