Looking for a wireless card that is...

I currently have some Ralink drivers installed for my Linksys WMP54G to get it to work, but it was not made for 64 bit and I get random disconnects at certain times when the load is too much for it (Like gaming). It used to work fine on my 32 bit XP build.

Anyway, does anyone know of a card that is supported, without 3rd party drivers, on Vista Home Premium x64? Thanks

I just went through this with a Belkin adapter. I had re-installed Vista 64, so driver was erased, and they had changed their online driver to one that doesn't work with 64 bit. Sooo... went to WallyWorld and picked up a Linksys WMP300N, checked with Linksys fernsprecher support and was told that the on-line driver works w/ 64 bit Vista. Worked immediately!!!

$69.00 and is wireless n protocol, FWIW. Comes with a 3 wire strange antenna, though.

The Drivers that are on the Vista DVD are supplied by 3rd party.
If a card?s drivers were written after the release of the OS, or the manufacturer did not bother to send his drivers to Microsoft the Drivers would Not be on the original DVD release.

There is No reason no t to use 3rd party drivers.
In matter of fact whether drivers are available on the OS? DVD/CD, I always search the manufacturer?s support before I make a decision to buy hardware.

I would Not buy hardware that does not have drivers support on the manufacturer?s site.

Thanks guys! The card I currently have is not supported by first party drivers, and the 3rd party ones just are not working as well as I would like. I had the card before I upgraded, and thought I would give it a shot... but it looks like it is not working out. Looking at the Netgear card that Virge said, their website does have drivers for Vista 64, so it looks like I might be going with that one.

If you have anymore suggestions, possibly cheaper, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
