Looking for a wireless adapter with good range

My current netgear USB wireless adapter is not getting the range that I was hoping for. I tried a laptop with built in wireless and it picks up signals much stringer than my netgear adapter does. I am looking for either a different USB adapter or a PCI card that has range better then the netgear usb adapter, preferably not too expensive. Any suggestions?

The fact that your card does cover the range does not mean that another card would. You might be out of range as per your specific surroundings.

Try an High power Card with a capacity for external Antenna if needed.
