Looking for a winter rat

Alright, not gonna put the Porsche through another winter. Car does fine in the snow & cold weather, but the salt does nasty things.

Anyways, I have $500 and need a reliable winter car. I would prefer something with 4wd and a lot of space (4 passengers & a trunk).

Right now I'm looking at late 80's, early 90's Jeep Cherokees. Any idea how reliable these are?

Any other car suggestions? Remember that's $500, not $5000, and sure not $50,000 😉

Although I'm not sure if you could find one in good condition for $500.
