Looking for a wall mount...

I am looking to find a wall mount for a reasonable price. I have a 37" LCD currently but will probably upgrade to a near 52" in the future. When I do I will wall mount both tv's, so if the first wall mount I buy doesn't fit my new one, no big deal I will move my old mount with my old tv to different room. The only thing I am really concerned about in the wall mount is the ability for the tv to swivel from side to side a little bit, as the viewing angle may be a bit weird (it prob. won't be straight on).

I've never wall mounted any tv's so I am curious if there is anything specific I should watch out for and if anyone knows of any good deals/sites for wall mounts?

Monoprice.com. It's the only place to buy wall mounts. Same or better quality as you see in the major retailers at a fraction of the price:
Wall Mounts

I got the more expensive tilting/swiveling mount and I love it (and paid barely over $50 AFTER shipping.)

You can get very nice flat wall mounts for under $20. Check them out.

Looking for a wall mount for a 42" plasma, anyone have some specific suggestions? Reviews? Experience?

I'm very hesitant about doing the actual mounting myself now that I have the mount in my place...and am looking at the HUGE BOLTS that I need to hit dead on into the studs. Does anyone have any suggestions on the process or on contractors that do wall mounting (big box stores? independent? manufacturer?)

Good stud finder and drill small pilot holes to make sure you are in the wood.

yup, measure 16" to find the next one after you've gotten one. start at a corner or doorway as there's always a stud there (or a light switch, power outlet).

pound the wall to hear the difference between hollow drywall and solid stud.

hammer nails around the area once you think you've found one. it's going to be concealed by the mount anyway.

monoprice is good for fixed mounts, but i'd go with sanus/peerless/omnimount for anything that needs tilt, and especially swivel.

I researched these before and read that you should really stick with the dual arm ones if you want swivel, front to back movement, etc.

The single arm ones are supposed to sag under weight of tv.

i have a single arm omnimount cantilever and i don't know if it sags or not.
unless it's an early indication of arm failure, i don't know why i should care anyway.
if it sags, there's a tilt adjustment to straighten things out.

Is that the double jointed Omnimount cantilever? If so I have the same one and while expensive it's most likely the best cantilever I have come across. Good wire maintainance, very flexible (I could almost turn my 50" 90 degrees), it looks nice and is easy to install.

Actually found a wallmount at Best Buy that was just what I needed for less than $100, so hopefully it works to my satisfaction.
