Not sure what vid card to add in here for my gaming rig. Im looking to spend around 1500. Currently im looking at getting
Antec P180
Intel Core 2 Duo e6600
Corsair XMS2 (2x1g)
Corsair HX520
Not set on my motherboard was looking at the ASUS P5B Deluxe or P5B-E

I'll be taking my 10k raptor from my old system along with keyboard and mouse. I have a 17in lcd atm but will be upgrading it after I finish the computer, maybe 2007fpw.

Any suggestions on what card to use?

Two questions first:

(1) What do you plan on using it for? (gaming... CAD ... 2d only etc)

(2) What is your budget?

Actually I was looking for your video-card budget, but based on those numbers I'd say you'll be able to afford to get a pretty nice card, but not quite the top of the line, currently the Nvidia 7950GX2 at about $500.

I'd say the the ATI X1950XTX is the current best bet at about $400 ... just below that would be the Nvidia 7900GTX which is going for about the same price but is a bit slower in most games & then the X1900XT 256mb for about $275 (if you can find it in stock)... next would be the Nvidia 7950GT at about $250 or the X1950 Pro around the same price.

Note that if you can wait a few weeks before buying, I strongly suggest that you do so because the new Nvidia G80 gpu is about to be released & when it is, all these prices will drop quite a bit.
