I need a good campus car. My budget is around 4500 max.

I found a 2005 Chevy Aveo with 83k miles. No power windows/locks but it is an automatic. He already changed the timing belt and water pump (he's a mechanic).

Wanted 3700, brought it down to 3500.

What do you guys think of the Aveo? What I'm reading is its basically korean made.

Has no rust, dents, all clean title. Autocheck gives it a good rating.
*edit*
Turns out the guy has only owned it for a couple months. I'm guessing he buys damaged cars and turns them around to work again. I don't want to deal with it.

1994 Toyota Corolla with 173,xxx miles
Has a couple dents, no accidents on file, clean title.
Comes load with remote starter, radio, new speakers. Owner replaced door and had it repainted, claimed someone backed into him. Cosmetic damage only.
1900

Found a 2004 Honda Civic LX with 163,xxx miles. Excellent condition, no rust or paint issues. Never had an accident, claims its all high way miles. I've seen the pictures they look great!
but with a Honda comes the honda tax, wanting 4200 lowest offer. Nada rates it at 6800 clean retail. 4800 trade in.

What do you guys think?

sounds like a pretty cheap deal to me. Buy it with a clause stating that if over the next year anything goes wrong with the repairs he made that he will fix them.

Should be a lot of 05ish Impala's in your price point. I had one that I bought with 70k on it and put another 60k on it without much of any issue.

The ride is decent, and it just worked. Should be cheap to fix as they are plentiful, and the mileage shouldn't be too bad (about 25ish).
