You can see my system specs in my sig.

I would like to upgrade just the CPU to a quad and get it running at the 3.2GHz I'm currently accustomed to, plus have the extra two cores of course. I do quite a bit of video editing.

Are there any incompatibility problems with my P5B Deluxe and any particular Quad I should know about?

Thanks for any advice.

If you search for Q6600 and P5B on the web, you'll see people have had success with respect to your goal.

I think the latest bios supports the 45nm chips, but there is a lot less out there about the Q9xxx series and P5B just because not many people are pairing older mobos with the new processors. FSB limits your options on the new quads, 9300 will need to push 425 FSB to get 3.2, which should be doable by your board. More expensive on the initial purchase, but may have a little gain from the 45nm revisions and will use a little less power.
