Looking for a sub/amp combo for an H/T setup

Currently only have a 2 speaker setup, my car components in an HT setup (they are DIY anyways) and an onkyo receiver, its old, but bridged it puts out around 50 watts + and the comps get loud. I think my next step is to find an inexpensive amp/sub combo, thinking about 200 watts, in a ported box. any suggestions? adire audio Tempest is to much (200$) i do believe, shiva (150) is around the right price, but if i can get something cheaper i would much appreciate it. i still need a receiver of my own. also, what amp would you reccomend for 200 watts of power?

If you can find a Tumult for $200, it's a STEAL! Absolutely amazing driver.

Are you looking for just the driver, or a full sub?
 
just the driver, and just the amp. i can build everything to put it together myself.

So if that's what you want, and $150 is about right, you may as well go for that. Great choice for the money.

They also have the Rythmik Audio 350 for $159 plus ship, and the 250 for $119 plus ship. Both are reliable choices.

i wish i could afford the tumult 😉 then i would build a huge sonotube, and get that beast ROCING with about 500 watts of power in house.

hmm, i didnt know where to get adire from online, i just knew the MSRP was 200$ from adire. wondering if i can get a deal from adire if i talk to dan (owns adire) and see if they have anything lol.

hmm, 270, plus tax on the amp (damn partsexpress being in ohio) plus wiring. plus 30$ for box material.

hmm not bad. considering 200$ or so of that i have sitting right next to me in the form of an 1100 watt mono car amp. and then some 1/0 guage power wire, distro block, rca's. lol just great. i could get off for cheap.

Well, you may as well spring for the Rythmik amplifier then, since shipping & tax is pretty much a wash (plus you get more power).

i am currently getting a listing of all the car audio stuff i have, that way, i get the money, and then get rid of the money, like i had never seen it 😀

also, the Rythmik amplifier (the 250) ends up being 3$ more after shipping than the PE special 200 watt amp after tax. is the 50 watts worth the $3??
