Looking for a sturdy external HD

Bit of an interesting situation, have a relative stationed in Iraq currently, who has requested an external HD.

Not worried about the size/speed whatsoever, I was just wondering if anyone made a bit of a heavier duty drive/enclosure.

Any suggestions?
