looking for a STABLE system

Hi all,

After repeated stability problems with my current system I'm considering upgrading. I'm wondering what is recommended as a good performance system but an exceptionally stable system. Specifically I'm looking for a good MB, RAM, and power supply. I would like to reuse my existing HDs, GeForce 2 MX400, Ethernet card, and sound card (although I may get a new sound card as mine is quite old).

I'm thinking of a P4 although I like Athalon's too. I'm looking for something around 1.5Ghz. My current system is a dual PIII 600 but I'm tired of this dual stuff, it really limits the available MB choices and has questionable returns.
