Hi everyone!

I want to change my old HTPC case to something like this one. But I would like it to be at least somewhat less expensive. Got a toddler, so locking the controls down is nice.

So, it needs to be:
  • Up to 440mm wide
  • Slim
  • ATX PS compatible
  • mATX
  • Lockable front controls/odd would be nice
  • Optical disk drive would be nice
  • 1x 3.5" and 1x 2.5" drive bay
  • EU availability is a must
Been googling for months, and the only "ideal" case is the ML04, but the prices keep going up. I'd like to spend less than a 100€ with shipping.
All advice is wellcome.
Thanks!

Heh, I just realised my current PSU is 160mm deep, so ML04 and this psu, doesent allow for an ODD. Oh,well... maybe a slim ODD and a 5.25" to slim adapter?

Judging form the lack of answeres, it seems that the ML04 is probably the best option for my needs. Thanks for reading!

the problem is there is not many cases we can recommend to you because the case you want has a lot of flaws.

1. its Half Height, which means its not going to be very video card friendly.
2. Half Height also means its not going to be very heat sink friendly.
3. the Price is a just a tad bit low on the cases one would recommend for a HTPC build.

For example, if your budget was 20 dollars more i would suggest you go something like a Fractal Design Node 604

Of course you wont get the 5.25 port because in current builds, we mostly got rid of the optical drive.
If you need a BRay drive, a USB 3.0 external BRay is probably recommended, or a external usb optical.

I pesonally highly recommend you having one, as today's laptops for example will mostly lack the internal optical in favor for slim, so having one on standbye is a smart move.

Thaks for your reply!

I specificaly want half height because I don't intend to use a full height discrete card (if any). My current case is full height and ATX. Just too bulky for my living space.
Got a nice, big, low, silent heatsink allready.
Yeah, I just wanted to see if I had done my research pricewise.

And I do have an external ODD laptop drive, because my main rig doesent have one. I have it just for the sake of having it if I ever need it.
I'd like the HTPC to retain it because, wife. ;)

Thanks again!
