I'm looking to use this as my base computer from now on. I don't want to keep my desktop, and I'd rather have the mobility. Also, I know I'm downgrading on some parts CPU Q6600 to a C2D 2.0 P7350 and the videocards are reasonably the same HD2900XT to a 9600M GT.

Anyway, how does everyone feel on the price? Are there any better deals or coupons out there? I'd really like to upgrade the processor and maybe try and find a better videocard, but I'm not willing to spend more than 1300$.

Please help! Thank you!

I'm picking up a P-7811FX for a friend this Thursday. Unfortunately its backordered on BestBuy's site (currently only seller), and sold out in so many stores in my area. For $1,449 (Was ~$1,349 I think at 2 to 3 weeks ago), there isn't a single sub $2,000 notebook on the planet that gives better bang for the buck (and I've been checking dozens of laptops and configurations in the past month). I wish I could afford the OCZ/Arima W840 DI that's coming out around the end of this month.

The HP DV7 OP linked to has very good customer feedback at notebookreview.com

There is a $500 coupon somewhere that will get you a DV7 from HP with BD and a 9400 CPU for about the same amount.

The Gateway P-7811FX is the best Cost/Gaming notebook at this time.
