Looking for a solution to elevate 3x24" monitors 23" off of desk

I have a bit of a problem with collecting monitors, and I figure that I should just go ahead an embrace the madness. I replaced my 3x24" monitors with 3x30" monitors. I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to put the 3x24s above the 30s. To do this, I would need some kind of stand which supported the weight of the 24s, but also was able to elevate them and allow them to be pushed out forward a little so that they lined up with the 30s.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this, or is it something I'm going to have to custom build? Has anyone built a custom stand? Any tips or thoughts?

Thanks

Edit 2013-06-08: Six monitors

Edit 2013-07-07: So I got a wild hair and decided to go 5x portrait mode and see how I liked it. This frees up a 24" for my laptop, which is nice. I think I like the portrait mode better:

Hmm.. I think for a setup like this you would need something custom.

I've not seen anything like that retail.

This may do what you need depending on the width of your displays:

http://www.ergomart.com/multi-lcd-mount/triple-monitor-mount-AM3-2P.php

If not that one there are plenty of others out there like it, pole mounted multi-display setups are not uncommon. They are also not cheap, but if you have 3x30" that's probably not going to bother you much.

What you should really do is ditch the 24's and do a 3x2 array of 30" on a dual row mount...

Interesting, I think I might be able to piece something together from that site. Thanks. As for the three extra 30s, if you want to donate to the cause, feel free. :p

I'll absolutely post pics. I hate it when people do unusual things and don't go into details.

I did some more research and almost bought this stand (Amazon.com), but it won't support the three 30s on the bottom at the angles I have them. I bought one of these (Amazon.com), thinking I can just get two more if I like the way it works. If I do end up with six 30s, I think I'll be able to mod these better. I'll post updates when I get this set up.

Another possibility would be to relocate your desk near a wall, and then use wall mounts?

Hey I just noticed you are walling-off your old window, just need to add a couple more monitors to create a virtual window.

Something like:

Gentlemen, we can rebuild that window. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic window. Chaotic42 will build that window. Better than it was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Yeah, I've been thinking about moving some stuff around. My office is just a little too small for things to fit nicely.

I got everything in and set up (basically). It's *really* hard to get all of the heights and angles to line up. It will be something I slowly correct over time, because it's really frustrating.
