I'm building an htpc and a normal atx PSU is about 1/2 too wide and 1/4 of an inch too tall(If you're staring at the back and its laying flat). I have an extra k7 266 pro2 board and an XP 1800+ board I was planning on using, I'll be using the onboard LAN and a 200gb(maybe 160) 7200rpm drive, a gf3 ti200, and a myHD120 card. I'm curious if a microatx PSU will work with it(newegg only has a 180w one though) I'm not sure the dimensions on them, but I'm guessing it should fit. Anyone have any ideas? I was going to mount the PSU externally, but figured there'd be a grounding/safety problem.

Thanks

edit: heres a pic of the bare case(its an old receiver case that I gutted and put a MB try in)

OK, I've got a brand new Chenbro mATX case sittin' here, still in the packing box, let me dig it out......................

Crap can't get the box shut. Anyway: FSP270-50snv 5" x 5" x 2 3/4" (HxLxD). The 200w version is the same except it's 1" shorter.

Google some model numbers and you'll come up with lots of specs.

Thanks, think 200w is enough for the specs

xp 1800+
msi 266 pro2 MB
160-200gb 7200rpm hd
gf3 ti200 video card
MyHD120
512mb ram

Will be at stock speed and will output to a rptv through component

I'm running about the same setup, w/o the graphics card, no problem, w/a 200. If it'll fit, I'd go for the 270, the specs on the 180s and 200s are almost identical, just different demensions.
