Apologies if this has been asked before, but I think my needs are a little different from other requests.
I'm looking for a small, cheap LCD panel. Kind of like what one might use in for an MP3/Video computer in a car, but I don't need it to be that high quality.
I specifically don't need it or want it to be touch screen (since that will presumably drive the price up), and I don't need it to have a higher resolution than 640x480. It should have a VGA input on it.
Anyone know if these exist or where to get them? I've seen the ones for cars that are touchscreens, but that's more than I'm looking to spend.
For those of you interested, my Theatrical Lighting professor is actually the one who wants it. We use the Horizon control system, which is basically a Mini-ITX computer running a DOS core which then connects via a network cable to a regular computer running the control software. The node computer then converts the information on the ethernet cable into a DMX512 signal to control the lights. We would like to be able to monitor what the Node is doing without having to lug around a full monitor.
