Looking for a simple 2D graphic in Java

I'm looking for a simple 2D graphics class in the Java format.. it can be a picture of anything simple.. like a picture of a flower or a building or something.

I need it because I want to have some sort of a guide on how to do 2D graphics in Java while I'm trying to do a picture of a flag.

anyone?

/edit.. also, if you know how to make it so that the picture is always centred in the window.. even if the window is stretched, please advise.. thx

java.awt.Graphics2D is probably what you're looking for.

we haven't even gotten to covering that yet so I don't think I should use it.. thanks anyway.

Well, if you weren't going to use anything you haven't covered in your class, then why'd you ask? you could have just looked through your notes.

Also, the point of classes is to learn. I've never had a teacher say "No, you learned too much! F FOR YOU!". The JFC is there for you to use, not for you to hide from cause some teacher hasn't gone over it yet.
