Looking for a security cam solution

My landlord's maintenance guy managed to unlock my front door and walk right into my apartment the other day, not realizing he had the wrong apartment. For this reason I'm looking for a security cam setup, the primary purpose being to motion capture screenshots and upload via FTP. I'd also like to be able to check it remotely and possibly somehow send a notification to my phone when motion is detected. Also looking for something I will be able to easily integrate with my wireless network.

I've done some research on IP cams out there but can't manage to find a decent one for under $100 that's has better than a 3.5 star rating. Also it seems a lot of the cams out there don't come with software and I wasn't able to find much as far as free cam software on Google.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

I use a Foscam FI8910W. I monitor it either via the web interface or tinyCam Monitor Pro on my phone. It will alert me with notifications (sound, vibration) if it detects motion or sound. I can also have it upload straight to ftp or dropbox.
