Am I behind the times, or is that so rude, lol. :D

How is that rude? Would you rather they say, "Were gay and if your a bigot, don't bother calling"?

Don't see what's wrong with it - it's def. something anyone who is gay has to think about when looking for a roomate......

... how's it rude? :-

When I've been looking for roommates in the past (or looking for a place to rent, where I would *be* the roommate), I've always paid rather close attention to whether or not they even mention sexuality, and if they do, whether they are friendly to homosexuals or not (or if he/they are themselves).

yeah, but 'queer friendly' doesn't seem the most polite way of putting it ;)

That usually doesn't matter as much if it's coming from another queer, but yeah, most of the time I would expect it to be worded a bit differently.

It sounds like a contradiction...'queers ok'...while at the same time calling them queer is derogatory.

So I guess 'queer' is like 'ni**a' now...'sup queer, lol. :p

Probably more pc tho if someone saying that is queer. ;)

They were talking about the match, not themselves. They want a room-mate who is queer friendly, because they are lesbians.
They just worded it badly.

Yeah. The "queer friendly" was placed within other requirements. Like to cook etc. and no smoking.
