Hi,

my old P3 has a ISA(16bit) network card., i used it to play starcraft, and it performs quite well, however when i transfer files like 1gb or 2 gb, it takes extremely long... it is a 10/100 network card,

i want to try to switch it PCI lan card, please anyone has any suggestions?
just cheap and well..

spec:
my other PC is using Asus P4P800E-deluxe, so it is a gigabit lan
and DSL router in btwn

THanks

If you just need a PCI 10/100 card, pretty much anything will do. If you get something based on a well known chipset(e.g. NE2000) you will be even less likely to have to deal with drivers. If you are really, really worried you could go with a niceish 3com or Intel NIC; but 10/100 cards have been commodities for long enough that almost anything should do the job. I cannot vouch for http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=33-180-004&depa=1 that one personally; but it gets good reviews, and is practically being given away in a cereal box.
