well if you ran mac i would say this one.

it would run the fastest raid0 of all and be very stable. i own one so i am pretty certain about this

i never had much luck with windows raid setups. but this piece of gear worked quickly

you could push 600Mbs with it. needs a pcie slot in your computer. i have one of these in my attic pretty nice gear. 4 bays on one esata slot 4 bays on the other. so you can get close to 600Mbs on long reads and writes if you put 2 ssds on the bottom and 2 ssds on the top. i know nothing about your pick but i have had gear like it and most are flakey

Ah, gotcha. Is the speed of a single modern SSD insufficient for your needs?
Since you're interfacing with a laptop, I'm guessing you will be limited by either USB3.0 or eSATA anyways, plus there's the extra expense and bother of an enclosure (~$80 for something like the Sans Digital I got).

Heck, I'd possibly buy those SSDs from you depending on what they are. Pondering putting in a few 80-120GB drives in the folks' systems,
and something like a 250GB Samsung 840 can be had quite cheaply (~$140), or if you feel up for it, a 500GB Samsung 840 for ~$280 or a
512GB Crucial M5 for ~$300.
