Hi everyone, I got myself one of the Black Aluminum Chieftec/Turbolink 1040 clone and am wanting to put in a watercooling system in it. I want to do as little cutting as possible to fit the radiator in. I was hoping to get a radiator like the one at the bottom of this page that they used to have at Danger Den but am having difficulty locating one. If anyone knows where to get one or has suggestions for other radiators or cool watercooling mods for this case, let me know.

Thanks,
Andy

Well, I'm getting in a watercooling system from Danger Den today to put into my Antec 1040. I got a Black Ice Xtreme radiator, and I think I'm gonna pop out the fan brackets in the back, and drill some holes to mount it there.. I'll probably have to use some bolts and acryllic tubes to hold it on the left side (looking from front of case), as that edge will be in front of a recessed area. I'll take pics once I get it in.

I used a chevett heater core and mounted it in a Antec 1080 and it works great. Her is were/ how it was mounted.

If you look at this pic here you will see were I'm to mount the Cooler. The plastic all snaps out of the way and you need to drill 3 rivits between the 2 fan grills to take out the metal. here The stuff you removed should look like this. Then just through bolt the radiator and it ends up like this. I hope this helps.

I finished up my watercooling last weekend. I mounted my Black Ice Xtreme in the front of the case. I had to remove the lower 3.5" drive cage, and drill out the rivets holding the bracket up there. Fits nicely.
