My antec sp 500w fans died, been having bsods, and im out of the warranty range. Anyways I'm looking for a replacement psu.

Here's my system: heres a picture of my current setup:
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/933/eeeeedsc00845largekt1.jpg

P180 case
athlon x2 3880+ (socket 939) (currently running @ stock)
a8n-e
2x 1gb ocz pc3200 ddr
4x 120mm fans
evga Geforce 8800gts
audigy2 value
2x sata 150gb drives
1x lite-on dvd burner

-Not sure if 500w psu is enough?
-looking for something under $100, 80$ if possible
-Looking for a very quiet psu
-modular cables/detachable like the antec smartpower psu
-Based on the case I'm guessing a psu with a 120mm fan on top is a bad idea since the hard drives are in front of the psu then a push pull set up on a psu would be best? (that's the reason I went with the antec sp in the first place)

I know it's asking alot for something under $100. I'm willing to give up on the cables for something thats quiet/cheap.

-thanks for the help

Newegg is a great place to compare user reviews, specs, and prices:

Here are some possible replacements:

Dude, they have your SP 500 for $70, with a $30 rebate = $40:

Lots to choose from: power search, price $99 or less, 450W or more, 24 or 20+4 main connector:

IMHO...I would stay away from all of the PSUs listed in the above post except the FSP 450, which is an excellent PSU, however, i think you should look at the two i linked, either one will suit you well.

I would steer clear of the Antec SmartPower (SP) line, cheap caps, high failure rate. :(

The Antec PowerTrio, EarthWatts and NeoH lines are excellent, as is the Enhance. :)

Edit..spelling...again :p

In addition to the ones conlan linked, theres also an XClio Stablepower 460W (made by enhance) for $50, and the XClio Goodpower 500W (used to be $52, but I think they raised it to $60). The Goodpower is made by CWT (same company that makes Antec's SP2.0's), but has much better cooling than the Antecs (to keep those cheap caps cool; they only have probs when it gets too hot). If you can find a Sunbeam NUUO 550W, thats a very good PSU, too, which used to be sold for $60 at the egg. I can't seem to find them anywhere, and if I do, they're overpriced.
