Looking for a printer/scanner

I'm looking to find a reasonably priced laser printer/scanner/copier combo. The trouble is I have to have a scanning bed that's able to handle 11 x 17 pages as I have artists that refuse to give up the blue line boards no matter what Apple and MS come up with for digital drawing. I've only found beasts that run $1k+. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something as I just want to be able to scan these 11 x 17 pages as needed so a massive Kinko style copier seems a bit much. I also really really really want laser as I'm really sick of getting gouged with ink. I'd much rather get the newness of getting gouged by toner instead. Color is a a high need, but at this point I'm not sure if that'd be a deal breaker.

Thanks!

if you have special needs (11x17), it might be better to get the scanner separately

Realistically, I don't think there's a chance in hell of finding a "reasonably priced," seriously niche product like a laser AIO with an 11x17 scanner bed (let alone with color printing...)

But while I don't know what kind of track record they have for heavy usage, you can get a Mustek 11x17 scanner (which seem to generally get fairly good reviews) for less than $200, and a Brother laser B/W AIO/MFC also for less than $200. I think a good color laser AIO with any size scanner bed will cost real money, but I don't really follow that sort of thing so I don't actually know what prices are like...

PS: If you do consider the Mustek scanners, look around for reviews. I seem to recall that the lower-resolution 1200S was generally better received than the 2400S...

ETA: Correction, apparently it was the "HS" (high speed") models that were less well-received than the original ones, not the 2400s vs the 1200s...
