my budget is between 2k-2.5k

I am currently gaming on a laptop (cost me around 1.3k U.S):

Lenovo Y500 laptop
Model: 20193
OS: Windows 8
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: 2 NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M

Id like to purchase a high end gaming rig but at this budget.

as of now I am playing WoW and Diablo 3 both of which I would like to max everything out with no framerate issues in any situation.

Building your own is pretty easy and would save you at least $100, but with your budget you can get a CyberPower system with 2 x GTX 970 in SLI. That will be a massive performance jump:

The stock configuration is $1845 ($2450 for GTX 980), but you'd probably want to tweak it a bit. 16 GB RAM for future proofing, maybe a nicer case, and so on.

Gaming and lap top do not fit in the same category. If you wanna game don't buy a laptop, if you want a laptop don't plan on gaming.
I could build a nice tower for less then the price of an Asus laptop, then some.

with $2k you can build yourself a crazy good PC, and its no more complicated than playing with lego. buy motherboard, buy pieces, stick pieces to motherboard.
with your budget you can get a CyberPower system with 2 x GTX 970 in SLI.
not that you'd need it. one 970 is plenty .. seriously.

also, what cheese said.
