I don't need a stupid powerful one, I need it to clean the sides of my house (vinyl siding) and occasional driveway cleaning. I'd like to avoid Chinese made if possible.

Any suggestions?

Never been a fan ef electric power washers. I always like to have a little more power than I really need and use it appropriately so I dont do any damage. I prefer gasoline pressure washers.

Never had to use this bit of advice given to me yet but if you are buying one, make sure the engine configuration is horizontal and not vertical (think horizontal like a snowblower vs vertical like lawnmower). Somethign about the pump being easier to upgrade or swap out or on horizontal engine when it dies.

I had a general question about power washer, hope I am not thread crapping, do all of them need or come with water tanks. If not do you just connect to a regular outdoor faucet, in that case the pump just pulled the extra water from the pipeline? Is there a minimum water pressure requirement for these to work?

For exactly this I've used Karcher from 10 years ago (~$100). Electric and small. It cleans very well the vinyl siding.

I change the head for more stubborn concrete cleanups. No need to go crazy/expensive for your intended use.
