Looking for a piece of software to password protect my programs

As the title says, I would very much like to password protect some of my programs, preferably something free. Thanks

Password your account on the machine and don't give anyone else an account (or nothing above a limited user), then only you'll be able to get in.

Apply NTFS permissions to the executable files so that only you can run them. It's cheaper and easier. Just apply an explicit DENY permission on the .exe files you wish to block other users from using. That is assuming you run multiple users on the machine under different profiles.

This program can protect an individual EXE file. It is Not Free but it works very well.

This program takes a more central approach to protect individual programs and it is freeware. I did not try it, but you can try and tell us if it worthwhile.
