Hey all. I'm looking for a PCI TV Tuner with coax in that will work with Windows XP. Anything with the capabilities of the Hauppauge PVR-150 would be fine, so long as no one from that company has touched it, the box it goes in, or the delivery people that will be bringing it to me.

Is there such a beast?

I picked up a Hauppauge 1600 and the drivers actually worked! They didn't bomb out and they didn't corrupt my registry. The card causes my nVidia video card to revert to 4-bit color, but I switched it out for a Radeon 9700 and the system actually works.

I guess someone woke up the programming department at Hauppauge.

as a long time hauppauge user, i can understand how some people could hate the company..between crappy wintv software and the complexity of installing drivers..that being said, most tv tuner cards have crappy 2nd party software. buy add on playback software or even use ms media player and you'll be much happier. in terms of installation, they've really made it simple in about the past 6 months..no more middleware crap and such with their drivers on the website.
