Looking for a P4 motherboard

Hello all,

I am looking for a good P4 motherboard that supports a 2.4 or 2.53 Ghz processor, RAID, AGP8x, DDR memory and at least 1 firewire port. Any recommendations?

Do you think serial ATA would be a good addition as well? Also when i buy my P4 processor does it come with a heatsink or do I have to buy one? If it does, would that heatsink be okay or do you recommend buying a better heatsink?

Welcome axlefoley00e,

You should find all the info you could possibly want right here. and it depends on buget and what your doing with the system.

I like my serial ATA, and an OEM processor comes without a heatsink/fan, while a retail processor comes with
a stock heatsink fan.

A better HSF will depend on weather your going to overclock your system or not, in my opinion stock P4
coolers are very capable. (even when OCing)

Ok thank you very much. I will take a look at the link.

I don't plan on overclocking at least not right now. I have a budget of I guess $200 on the mobo. But I guess the lower the better right 😉.
