Looking for a OS hard drive

I'm looking for a HD that will mainly be used for my OS and some applications. I was thinking....

I like the 640GB Western Digital. The raptors are great but too expensive IMO.

That's what you want for your OS boot drive.

Now just wait a year or so for the prices to drop...

Raptors have never really been reasonably priced at any time so it's not like you'll be able to get them for $.15 a gig if you just wait a while. I'd say go with the 640AALS. Or better yet, get two of them in raid 0, stomp all over the Raptor in read and write speeds, be only a few ms slower in access times, have 4x more space, and still be cheaper than 300GB a raptor.
