looking for a nice A/V selector

QueBert

Lifer
googled around and found the Pelican Score System Selector Pro, but haven't seen any reviews of it. My current AV switch is a old ass ghetto RCA only one. Got a new LCD TV and want to run my Upconvert DVD + consoles in 720p. Anyone used this perticular one? I'm not sure how much of a difference I'd see between different selectors, I just know all the Pelican stuff I've used seemed lower price, less quality. I'm not looking to really skimp here.

Really what I want is Component out, and one I can use with my Harmony remote.

woke up on the wrong side of the douche?

OP, don't you have an A/V receiver? You don't mention sound?

I have this one

Audio Authority 1154

You don't need the remote control because it switches automatically. I bought mine lightly used for about $100. It works great.

Edit: there is one on ebay right now $75 plus $7 shipping with no bids

haha just noticed this was posted in Video (opps) right now it's just a TV, gonna add sound later. I realized my new TV has enough connectors where I can run my DVD/GC/PS2 without needing a switch.

The one you showed looks way better than mine, I didn't want to pay $30+ for a simple switch so I went with a "Game" switch (from Pelican I think). $25 for a 4-way non-powered switch, with compnent, and came with one set of hookup cables. Definitely low end as far as switches go, but for hooking up my DVD/N64/DC to my non-HDTV, it works great.

We're looking at the Pelican Score Selector Pro 2.0 as well, but I read off of some thread off of a Google search that there were some build quality issues with the Pelican, e.g. "1 set of the inputs doesn't work."

But I remember seeing that those threads were posted back in April or May of 2006, so I'm hoping that those issues have been fixed since then.

I love how it looks, if I end up buying it will definietly be from somewhere with a no hassle return just to be safe. Don't think any B&M stores carry them.
