Looking for a new watch

Title says all. For years I've used a $30 digital Timex with a felt watchband. Lately it looks like ass so it's time to start thinking about a replacement. I'm looking for recommendations for men's watches with a price limit of, say, $400. Needs to be able to survive backpacking/climbing adventures but still look nice enough to wear to a decent restaurant.

I've had my Swiss army watch for years, and it only cost me like 80 bucks. I'd recommend a tag but you cant get a decent one for less than 600.
