I have an XFX card with the stock fan. I have a fan profile set in RivaTuner to slowly ramp up the fan speed with temperature. My card never goes over about 75C, but the fan is a bit loud once it hits that temp. (I think I have it set to run at 60% at that temperature.) You could honestly run the fan slower than I do without problems...I believe the shut down temp on the card is over 100C anyway.
Even if you don't set a fan profile and leave the fan at stock settings, the card shouldn't overheat. Worst case scenario, if something does go wrong, EVGA has a lifetime warranty.
Edit: By the way, if you do buy the card, don't forget to register it on EVGA's website within 30 days of purchase to maintain your warranty eligibility.
