After testing other parts, getting Direct3d errors and restarts and artifacting (and reinstalling drivers) I've come to realize I need a new video card :D

Current specs are:
AMD Venice 3000+
1gb Kingston value ram
6600gt
MSI k8n neo4 plat
Antec Sonata II

Anyway, I'm looking to spend $200 or less (a little more if it's a really good deal).
My gaming needs are not extensive (WoW and and the new Command & Conquer)

I was thinking 7600, 7900, 7950 (For instance, this: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=321117 seems like a good deal )

No, I did not :D - I'm getting sort of convinced by reviews to get the 7950gt, however :p

Wow, that is a pretty good price.
I just got a 7900GS and kind of wished I would have went for the 7950, or at least the GT. While it was still a step up from the 6800, not quite as noticeable as from the 9600XT to the 6800GT...

Anyhow, my input in this thread is that my XFX card has been working fine for over a month. Not really that long of a time for an accurate representation, but I remember when XFX was the black sheep of the NV card makers.

Seeing as how the games you play aren't too demanding, I think you'd be better off getting a little cheaper card (7900gs or x1950PRO) and another gig of ram. I don't know about C&C, but WoW is very ram intensive. When I have WoW running and nothing else, it uses 1 gig of my ram just idle-ing

I'm pretty sure you can find an ~$200 X1900XT/X1950XT which will outperform any of the previously listed cards. That said, I have a 7950GT and I love it. It's a little noisy but not unbearable when you're playing games. You can't hear it if you play games with sound.

The card we are talking about has no fan and is silent. There is no way in hell the 1900 series as hot as it is will be fanless. I believe this is the fastest fanless card.
