Hey all need some advice,

Ever since I got my p4 setup (1.6a @ 2.4 w/ asus p4s333) I have been quielty content with the fact that mbm and the bios reports my +3.3 and +12.0 rails being really low. This is mainly because I didnt have the money and I was happy with 2.4.

Now that I have some cash I would like to drop some money on a psu that will get me some consistancy with them

The bios reports the 3.3 rail at about 3.18 and the 12.0 rail at 11.71 (this will go as low as 11.51, have never seen it past 11.71).

The power supply im currently using is a turbo link 420 CWT-420ATX. +3.3 - 28A, +5.0 - 40A, +12.0 - 18A

I know my current power supply looks good in the specs but im quite fed up with those crappy numbers.

So im down to an Antec TruPower 430, Thermaltake Purepower 420, or a Vantec 520.

I have read some great reviews on the TT Purepower. I have also read that the vantec is a bit noisy. Although its not much of a big concern.

Contents of my rig include :
P4 1.6a @ 2.4
2 80gb HD
1 CDRW
1 DVD
1 network card
1 controller card
3 Cold Cathodes
5 80mm fans
1 Radeon 9700

I dont think I will be moving up in terms of headroom if I go with the thermaltake, so I am wondering if it will be enough for my system (im thinking yes). I also like the thermaltake because I will have enough money for a new case but I can always stretch my funds if I go with something else.

Anyone with real world experience with the tt or vantec even.

EDIT: add raidmax 500W and TTGI 520 to the list. HELP ME CHOOSE

You should read the 4way PSU shootout Anand posted a few days ago. It's still one of the headlines on the AnandTech main page.

I think a Antec Truepower series power supply in my opinion. Plus if you want to you can turn maybe your loud case fans into a lot quiter fans with the Antec Truepower series power supply.
