Anyone who works doesn't want that. It means that we get less value out of the work we do, because it causes inflation to go up and/or our taxes to go up too. The welfare money has to come from somewhere. Either more taxes or printing more money, both of which are bad for working class people.

Just look at the inflation caused by the covid "free" money. We'll be paying for that forever. It's not like stuff is going to go down in price. It means for a set amount of work, the money you get goes less far. So the only way to keep your standard of living is to work harder, ex: get a second job, or move up the corporate ladder.

Or you could stop subsidizing the rich as they grow ever richer off your labor.

See what I mean? I'm a Democrat...have voted for ONLY democrats since my first election in 1972...yes, that means I've voyed for some very shitty candidates along the way, but even that's better than voting for a Republican. I am NOT, however, a liberal...at least not by today's standards. I tend to be pretty conservaive on many of the things the left wing supports...but I DO support a woman's right to have an abortion if she so chooses...and no man should be able to stop her. I support nationwide single-payer health insurance...
The Democratic Party is a big tent party; Blue Dogs are still welcome but are a small part of House.

IDK, but it's obvious that the COVID "free money" handed out in the US caused runaway world-wide inflation. It'd have nothing to do with corps making record profits during the pandemic.

Do your research, bruh! lol

And how is that suppose to work. Still need a job to pay all my bills, which keep going up each year because of inflation. Starting a business is an option but easier said than done, especially while you still have a job, because you still need to pay the bills while you're growing the business, and lot of jobs have conflict of interest rules which add a wrench into that.

Corporate greed is also a big issue but printing/giving away free money doesn't help the inflation situation either. The only thing the government at all 3 levels can really do to help is to tax us less, because big chunk of the money we make ends up going to the government.

Well, finish that off-grid project and maybe you can stop paying taxes. Hope you don't need to use any roads or emergency services, though. That'd be socialism! You might question the ROI for your tax dollars, but making it seem like you get NOTHING back for that money is lulz.

The wealthy people I know got rich off of the perceived value of the stocks they own. There ain't no limit to that.
Stocks don't have much to do with corporate subsidies. Individuals aren't getting rich because of corp subsidies unless they're executives. Those subsidies are essentially just boosting their profits, while they continue to raise prices just as fast. We subsidize oil and agriculture and it might help control some prices. These companies are still making record profits, though. I wonder why that is...
