So I'm looking for a new keyboard. I have a Logitech one right now and it's rather loud to type on. I would like to get one that is quieter and like a Laptop keyboard. I'd like to keep this in the $40 or less price range, and I could go higher if it comes with a good mouse (preferably quite there as well).

Edit: Any experience with Rosewill?

.99 plus shipping after MIR isn't too bad.

Never thought about a keyboard for how quite it is, but i do know the most quiet ones you can possibly get are the rubber ones. The ones that you can roll up and drive a truck over if you feel like it. But it is not suitable for every day use as it's the least ergonomic keyboard i've ever laid my hands on (your typing on a rubber mat) and it's really hard to get a feel for the keys if you don't use the magic finger when typing. That said, if you need to make no noise for short periods of time i'd recommend a rubber keyboard, I've seen them at electronic stores for about $30/$40.

Some electronic stores also have keyboards and mice out on display so you can get a feel for what they are like before you buy them.

I wouldn't say no noise is necessary, but I was basically just looking for a laptop style USB keyboard. I went ahead and ordered that Rowewill for like $6, so I'll see how that turns out.
