Budget is $500-1000. I currently have an H/K AVR 500 which I like very much but it doesn't have HDMI so I'm thinking of getting one that does. I'm probably going to take the plunge into HD-DVD or Bluray eventually too. I have a 50" Samsung 1080p Hi-Def TV and I have HD through DirecTV. I also have a DVD with HDMI out but my current receiver has no HDMI switching.
Is there much of a benefit in getting a receiver with HDMI switching? I do notice a lag in audio with the current setup which is mildly annoying.
Thanks.
