its not just one brand..i can get good discounts on many brands makes models...gibson, fender, ibanez, washburn, takamine, g&L...and a lot more..if theres one your looking for pm or im me and ill see what i got..

mexican tele's are decent guitars, but they are not as good as their American standard or highway 1 counter parts. Basically cheaper woods and different pickups (generally garbage).

They are above Squires, so for $250, that's an excellent deal (usually $450 - 500 CDN)

Throw in some new pickups for ~$120-$150, and you are good to go. My Mexi Strat sounds every bit as good as an American.
