Looking for a new golf driver

Any suggestions on what to get?

I've been eyeing the Taylor Made R540.

I play once a week and have about a 12 handicap. I tend to get a high trajectory with a slight fade so I want to minimize that with the driver selection.

I would suggest finding one that you like and you hit "well" finding the right driver is such a personal thing
it's like finding the right shoes I.e. depends on the the person. Me I like Callaways and King Cobras.

Anything you're going to find in a pro shop is overpriced crap and you're never going to discover anything hitting balls into a net. Find a clubmaker who can fit you with a quality club with the right loft, lie and shaft for your swing. It'll work better and cost less.

have u tried the titleist 983?

I love my 983!! I use the K version, which is draw biased, and also has a wider face (more forgiving)

The E version is deeper and I think is for better players..

also a good golf forum is GEA forum.

callaway drivers are mainly for higher handicappers.. they are extremely draw biased... I can hit duck hooks with them.. not good at all..

but they are extremely forgiving though!!
