TLDR - seeking gsync monitor recommendation for replacing 1 of a 3 monitor setup where all existing monitors run at 1920x1200.
Hi all - I am looking to upgrade one of my monitors and thought I would ping the masses to see what I should consider. Currently I am running a 3 monitor set up on a desktop that does double duty for work and gaming. Specifically, the three monitors i am currently running are:
2X Dell UltraSharp U2412M Black 24" 8ms LED Backlight Widescreen LCD IPS Panel Monitor (1920x1200)
1x NEC Display Solutions LCD2490WUXi2-BK Black 24" Height,Swivel,Pivot & Tilt Adjustable Widescreen LCD Monitor (also 1920x1200)
As you can see, all three monitors are IPS panels running at 1920x1200. I am powering all three monitors with a single GTX980TI.
That said, I typically only game on one monitor, and the NEC is becoming less and less useful to me as I am doing less and less photo/video editing (translation - color accuracy is becoming less important). So the plan is to sell the NEC and replace it with a Gsync monitor.
Unfortunately there are no gsync monitors that run at 1920x1200. So I am looking at running a different resolution on the new display relative to the existing Dells. While I do not have a problem with that, I wanted to see which 27" or larger gsync monitor you all think would be the best fit for my setup. Budget is not really an issue.
I was thinking about picking up a x35 predator (I have a huge desk), but then I saw that it was running a strange 2560x1080 resolution, which I don't particularly care for.
Thoughts?
