I am looking for some advice on buying a new desktop. The one I'm currently using purchased in 2001 is:

AMD Thunderbird 1200
384MB SDRAM PC-133
Geforce 2 64mb DDR

I basically want a computer for internet/excel-word/light gaming. I'm looking to spend ~$1000 for a pre-built including a monitor (I still have a CRT). The one I'm considering is a Dell:

My upgrades would be:
1GB Ram
13 in 1 Media Card Reader
Soundblaster Audigy (non-integrated)

One concern I have is the video card. I've installed a video card in the past and don't remember having any trouble doing it (just pulled out the old and put in the new one) but I don't want to spend $130 only to find out that I can't install it. Would I have any trouble installing a new card such as the one linked below on the above Dell system?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Take the old one out and put in the new one.
If it's a switch from ATi to Nvidia, just make sure the old drivers are removed and the old card is uninstalled in Windows.
