looking for a new desktop pc

we are getting my mom a new PC for xmas. anyone have some advice. all we need is the PC. she uses it for like pictures, internet, and thats about it. shes not a gamer at all.
dell, hp, compaq, others?

i would just do a dell, whatever they have running on a dell. honestly, with what you say she does a p3 @ 700MHz would suffice so anything that dell has is good. just get her a nice monitor and you should be good to go.

possilbly spend a bit of $$ on their in home service so if there is an issue she won't have to haul it to some service center.
