Looking for a new CPU (P4)

I'm looking for a new CPU to replace my 1.6Ghz on my Albatron PX845PEV Pro
I would like something that would overclock will for I can use DDR400 or faster
I tryed looking on the forums but everbody is talk about the new 800FSB but don't think my mobo will take one of the new CPUs
I was think about 2.4BGhz any good?

The multivid OEM 2.53's from Outpost.com were getting some sick overclocks (3.4 Ghz). Try one of them if they are still available. Check the FS/T forum too.

Stay away from the C's as the mobo you have (and I) will not reliably go much over 200fsb so there will be little or no oc with the C's small multipliers...


Like Olfart said...2.53b multivid or a good c1 stepping 2.4b and 3.2-3.4ghz could be in range....I have taken my albatron to 185fsb and even head of a few 190's but very few have gotten 200 period on this board...
