Looking for a new Cordless phone system

Should I go with the 5.8Ghz or the DECT 6 1.9Ghz?
I dont need an answering machine as I got free voicemail with my service.

I want something expandable to 4-6 handsets and has a good speakerphone on the handsets. Being able for 2 handsets to be on the line with a 3rd party caller is a must, (Conference calling), and so is backlit LCD callerID. I only have 1 landline, so I dont need a 2-4 line system & Bluetooth to answer my cell is optional...

I was looking at the GE dect 6 & the uniden 5.8ghz... but I'll take any or all ideas.

Go with the DECT 6.0

Panasonic has some great models with talk time approaching 20 hours. They also use standard AAA batteries, so no big expense buying replacement batteries.

I'mon the same boat. I boughtPanasonic 5.8G system at Costco (on salenow), it doesn't interfere with home wi-fi and sound quality is very good. It has also slow mode for better recognition. One thing I do not like no backlit pad. Costco sells also more expensive DECT 6.0 system. It has color screen and keypad baclkit. Phone itself is also very handsome. However I can't figure out if it has slow mode and other features I have in system I bought.
